GCSE Exam Results 2013

Students at Raynes Park High School have achieved impressive results across a range of subjects with some exceptional individual performances. Tajwar Chaudhury attained outstanding results with 10 A grades and Ciara Sauvage, former pupil of West Wimbledon Primary, also achieved 10 top grades (2 A*s, 7 As and 1 B). Yousuf Akbar was delighted that his hard work paid dividends, achieving 4 A*s, 5 As and 1B grade and will be building on his impressive academic performance when he joins Raynes Park Sixth Form to study Economics, Maths, Physics and Geography and has ambitions to study Economics at university.

There were also some solid results in specific subjects. Science performed extremely well with a 96% pass rate in A*-C grades, whilst 76% of students achieved A*-C grades in English Literature. The school’s EBacc figure has also increased by seven percentage points, demonstrating student success in this challenging academic pathway.

These improvements follow the school’s record A Level results, announced last week and which saw 73% of students achieving A*-C grades and 100% of students accepted onto their university places, with some progressing onto prestigious Russell Group institutions.

Headteacher, Phil Wheatley commented, “We are incredibly proud of our students who have achieved some impressive results as a result of their hard work and dedication, supported by our committed teaching staff. We look forward to welcoming many of them back to Raynes Park Sixth Form in September where they will continue to build on their academic achievements and prepare for future success.”
