Celebrating Cultural Diversity

Organising an evening’s entertainment for parents, teachers and students is no easy task, however, our Sixth Formers were up for the challenge. Raynes Park’s third Multi-Cultural Evening was held this term, with singers, dancers and drummers all taking to the stage. The show was started in 2014 by former Head Girl Franzia French, and it has since become a yearly tradition for Sixth Formers to organise an evening of entertainment, showcasing the range of talent which RPHS has to offer.

With our Sixth Formers leading and compèring the whole evening, we were treated to performances from students from Year 7, right up to Year 13, including a pianist and a multi-cultural fashion show presenting traditional cultural dress from around the world.

During the evening, Mr Mba hosted a very well-received quiz, covering topic such as currency, music, flags and food. Following on from this, we were treated to a delicious meal from the canteen, who showcased a selection of national dishes.

We’re very proud of our Sixth Formers for successfully orchestrating the event, and we hope that Multi-Cultural Evening will return next year.
