Cheerleading Champion

Lily, one of our Year 10 students starred in the recent C-BBC television programme ‘ My Team The Cheerleaders’ which followed the training schedule of 3 champion cheerleading teams.  As the team captain of ‘Unity Pearl’, Lily led a group of cheerleaders preparing to compete in and win another trophy to add to the myriad of Cheerleading Competitions team ‘Unity Pearl’ have won over the last year.      Lily’s personal qualities – typical of  so many of our high-achieving Raynes Park High School students – shone through in the friendships formed within the team and her leadership and sporting prowess.   The determination of team ‘Unity Pearl’ as they rehearsed and refined their sport of Cheerleading has had a hugely positive impact on Lily. Keen to see Cheerleading recognised for the national sport it is now recognised to be, Lily aims to be in the Team GB squad for Cheerleading.   ‘I eat, sleep, breathe cheerleading’ says Lily, and she is rightly proud of both her achievements, and the confidence she has developed through the dedication and commitment she shows to this sport.

Lily also has hidden talents as a singer, and she has performed in a variety of musical performances, singing solo in front of the whole school, and entertaining audiences at school musical evenings.  Encouraging and celebrating our students’ talents and skills reflects the ethos of Raynes Park High School, and we have all enjoyed seeing Lily’s many successes.
