Digital Rangers take to Twitter and Facebook

Members of the Rendevouz and The Pavillions Clubs in West Barnes were picked up in the school minibus and taken to the Sixth Form Study Room where their eager student mentors were waiting. The project is being led by Ms Derrington, KS3 Maths Coordinator and Mr Priddle, Head of ICT and Computing. Councillor Gilli Lewis-Lavender from Merton Council accompanied the thirteen new students and was very impressed with the enthusiasm and willingness of our students to help the older generation. Mr Priddle said, "The student mentors are helping the Digital Rangers learn how to tweet, post on Facebook, do online shopping as well as general computer skills such as Word. The students  generate quite a buzz in the room and it is great to see the our new students learning new skills."
