A-Level Results 2022

This week, students and staff at Raynes Park High School are celebrating fantastic A Level and Vocational results with those students who applied to university gaining a place on a degree course. This is the first set of externally assessed results since 2019 as Year 13 students did not sit their GCSE exams in 2020 due to the pandemic and had not actually sat formal exams since their SATs back in May 2015. These results have exceeded expectations and recognise the excellent academic and personal achievements for RPHS students, demonstrating their hard work and the dedication of our staff.

An exceptional pass rate was achieved with a 100% pass rate. A third of the grades were at A* and A, and 80% were passed with grades A* to C. The Vocational results are also excellent; the average grade achieved was a Distinction with the vast majority of students exceeding their target grades.

Headteacher Miss Taylor said:

“We are so proud of our students’ achievements this year. These are excellent results for which students have worked extremely hard during such challenging times recently. I would like to offer students our warmest congratulations and thank all of the teachers for their contribution in making these results possible. We wish our former Year 13 students our very best wishes for September and beyond”.

Raynes Park High School prides itself on its A-Level and Vocational offer, ensuring students have an appropriate pathway of study to follow that enables them to secure places at universities of their choice, embark on apprenticeships in a range of sectors, take a gap year or secure employment.

Our Head of 6th Form, Ms Sandhu, said ‘I’m very proud of the commitment this year group have shown to their studies and delighted with the excellent results across the curriculum’.

Comments from Students:

Mia (A*, A*, A*, A*, A) - Reading Liberal Arts at University of Warwick
“I’d like to thank all my teachers for all their support, especially over the last 2 years. The amount of time and effort they put into helping us has shown in my results. We did lots of exam prep in the run up to exams and this is what has helped me in getting these great grades.”

Daniel (A*, A*, A*, A) - Reading Aerospace Engineering at University of Manchester
“I am elated with my results and excited to be going to University to study Aerospace Engineering. It has taken a lot of hard work and hours working with my friends and revising for these exams and it really has paid off.”

Morgan (D*, D*, M) - Reading Midwifery at University of London Kings
“The support from the entire 6th form team has been amazing and I would like to thank them. Not only did teachers help in getting these grades but when Universities rejected me from Midwifery courses the team kept believing in me and supported me in getting onto a course to study what I want.

Jiaxuan (A*, A*, A) - Reading Mathematics at University of Warwick
“I am amazed with my results. Raynes Park has helped me so much in getting to this point. Staff have been so supportive in my time here and I can’t thank the Physics and Maths department enough, they are always willing to help if you have a problem.”

Eva (A*, A*, A) - Reading Computer Science at University of Birmingham
“I am incredibly overwhelmed. I have worked really hard for these grades and to get more than I could have hoped for is such a rewarding feeling. It shows if you put the work in, even if it is doing revision with friends that you really can get great results. I am so happy for everyone who is off to some top universities having received some great grades.”
