Students may come into school from 8.00am for breakfast in the canteen until 8.30am, when they will go to their tutor room for 8.35am. Students should leave the school site by 3.15pm unless they are involved in a supervised activity.
The school has an outside caterer, Sodexo. There is an emphasis on Healthy Eating and the menus reflect this. Drinking water is available in the canteen and from drinking fountains. Students may only take bottled water with a sports cap with them to lessons.
Payment in the canteen
The canteen operates a cashless catering system, whereby as long as the student’s account is in credit, he/she is able to purchase food using their fingerprint. Payment can also be made via Scopay (separate log-in information will be sent to parents and carers)
Getting to us
Staff are on duty at the start and end of the day to supervise students entering and leaving the school site. Please note: there is limited parking on the school site, additional parking is available at Tesco, next door to the school.
The 131 bus stops outside the school on West Barnes Lane, the 152 and 265 stop outside the main entrance on Bushey Road. The school is a 15 minute walk from Raynes Park Station.
As we only have one main entrance for vehicles, we ask that parents refrain from driving into the school grounds between 8.15 – 8.40am and 3.00 – 3.30pm unless they are collecting a student who is unwell. The school is situated on a very busy junction so please help us by not creating a hazard to vehicles entering and leaving the school grounds. As it is such a busy intersection, it is essential that students use the underpass when leaving via the main entrance. Students must also use the bridge link when leaving via the DT gates on West Barnes Lane.
Students can choose to cycle to school. Any student who brings a bicycle to school does so entirely at their own risk. All students cycling to school are strongly encouraged to wear a cycle helmet and advised to undertake a cycling proficiency test.
