The UDO World Championships

On Sunday 22nd March 2015 Raynes Park High School’s KS 4 & KS5 Street Dance Crew ‘Make it Rayne’ travelled to Peterborough to compete in the UDO Regional Street Dance Championships.

This is a national competition for Street Dance Crews, not a schools’ competition and ‘Make it Rayne’ were in the Under 18 Advanced category.

The Crew maintained their 100% record of a top three place in all the Street Dance competitions they have entered, and their excellent performance earned them qualification to the UDO World Championships which takes place on Friday 28th - Sunday 30th August 2015 in Glasgow.

Ms McGullion, Head of the Raynes Park High School Dance Academy says  “ ’Make it Rayne’s first ever competition was last June in a Schools competition, which we entered with the expectation of just experiencing a new challenge, and enjoying a fantastic opportunity to showcase the great dancers we have at RPHS. To have qualified for a Street Dance World Championship in less than a year of performing together is an absolutely outstanding achievement. We are so proud of all the hard work that the students have put in and this is well deserved recognition of their talent”.
