Enrichment
ENRICHMENT
There are a number of opportunities for students to contribute to the school and wider community and this will help them to develop their leadership skills, such as;
• Posts of Responsibility e.g. Form Captain, Sports Captain
• Inter-house events
• Educational visits
• Local and national competitions
• Extra-Curricular Clubs
At Raynes Park, we place a strong emphasis on providing an outstanding extra-curricular programme that enriches students’ educational experiences beyond the classroom. With over 100 enrichment clubs offered each week, students benefit from a diverse and dynamic range of opportunities tailored to their interests and talents. These clubs enable students to develop valuable life skills, engage in healthy competition, and pursue new passions in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Our enrichment timetables are reviewed and updated each term and can be found below:
Duke of Edinburgh
At Raynes Park High School, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a key part of the enrichment opportunities we offer to help students become confident, resilient and independent young people. We proudly offer all three levels of the Award: Bronze, Silver and Gold. The DofE encourages students to challenge themselves, explore new interests and develop essential life skills through four sections: Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and the Expedition.
Within school, Mr Bishop supports students through the Volunteering, Skills and Physical sections, guiding them in choosing suitable activities, setting meaningful goals and keeping on track with their progress. This ensures every participant feels confident and supported as they work through each element of the Award.
For the expedition section, we work in partnership with Ben Bullen Adventures, a highly experienced outdoor education provider. Their qualified instructors lead our students through both the practice and qualifying expeditions, teaching vital skills such as navigation, campcraft, teamwork and outdoor safety. This collaboration ensures our students receive expert instruction and enjoy a safe, well-structured experience in real outdoor environments.
By taking part in the DofE at Raynes Park High School, students make a positive difference in their community, improve their fitness, learn new skills and take on a memorable expedition supported by professional instructors and dedicated school staff. The Award is widely respected by colleges, universities and employers, and provides young people with lasting friendships, personal growth and unforgettable achievements.
